What data we process
- Parent data: name, contact details and information needed for billing.
- Student data: name, date of birth or personal identification code where needed to provide the service, and attendance information.
- Messages, calls and other communications you send us.
Why we process data
- to enter into and perform the Educational Services Agreement;
- to organise teaching and attendance;
- to communicate with the parent;
- for invoicing and accounting;
- to comply with legal obligations;
- to protect legitimate legal claims;
- to operate the hobby school safely and effectively.
Legal bases
- Performance of a contract — where processing is needed to provide the educational service.
- Legal obligation — for example accounting and duties under education law.
- Legitimate interest — running the hobby school safely and defending legal claims.
- Consent — where the law requires separate consent, for example for marketing or publishing photographs.
Who we share data with
- Only as needed: accounting and IT service providers who process data on our instructions.
- A debt-collection company, legal adviser, court or other authorised recipient where necessary for establishing, exercising or enforcing our legal claims.
- Public authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
- We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by Estonian accounting and education law.
- Once those purposes and duties no longer apply, we do not keep the data longer.
Your rights
- You may have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing, to object, and to data portability, to the extent applicable law allows.
- Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.
- You may lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (www.aki.ee).
Photographs, video and marketing
- We ask for separate consent for marketing communications and for publishing photographs or videos, where the law requires it.
- This consent is not a condition for receiving educational services unless it is objectively necessary for the particular service.
- You can withdraw consent by writing to info@happyclasses.ee.
