Free Creativity and Sports Program for Ukrainian Children in Viimsi (Ages 11–15)

We invite Ukrainian teenagers aged 11–15 living in Estonia to participate in the summer project “Where Does Democracy Begin?”

This program focuses on Ukrainian language and culture, creativity, sports, friendship, freedom, equal opportunities, and the future of young people in Europe.

Participants can look forward to activities conducted in Ukrainian, the creation of a new book about the little fox Rudyk, creative and engineering workshops, surfing, SUP boarding, rock climbing, yoga, hiking, meetings with partners, and a festive book presentation.


The project will take place from June 21 to August 23, 2026, in Viimsi and Tallinn.

Places are limited.


Do you know where democracy begins?

Perhaps it begins with every voice being heard.

With the ability to listen to one another.

With preserving our language and culture.

With having the courage to be ourselves.


This is not just an educational program. It is a supportive Ukrainian-speaking environment where young people can communicate, create, move, think, discuss, and discover new opportunities.


The program includes:

  • Ukrainian language, culture, and literature;

  • Creating a new book about the little fox Rudyk;

  • Creative and engineering activities;

  • Surfing, SUP boarding, rock climbing, yoga, and hiking;

  • Visits to libraries, the House of the European Union, Vabamu Museum, and the Embassy of Ukraine;

  • Discussions about freedom, democracy, equal opportunities, and the role of young people in society;

  • A festive closing event, book presentation, and performance.


The project is intended for Ukrainian teenagers who would like to communicate in Ukrainian, maintain a connection with their culture, make new friends, and better understand the world around them.
